Till Class 8th, we study science as a subject. We hear a new term "Physics" in 9th Standard or O level. Then a question arises,

  • What is Physics?
  • What is the simple definition of physics?
  • Why do we study Physics?

So, to answer all these questions, we have a standard definition of physics.

 

Physics:-  Physics is the branch of science that deals with matter, energy, and their relationship. 



Another question arises here,

  • What is matter?
  • What is the definition of matter?
  • What is energy?
  • What is the definition of energy?

Matter:-  Anything that occupies space and has mass is called matter.

Energy:-  Energy is the ability to do work.

 

Why do we study Physics?

Science is so that beyond our imaginations. To study the maximum observations of scientific laws, science is divided into some branches. Physics is one of the most important branches of science. The rapid progress in science during recent years has become possible due to the discoveries and inventions in the field of Physics. The technologies are the applications of scientific principles. Most of the technologies of our modern society throughout the world are related to Physics. That's is why we study physics.
